About Kenan Beker

Hello. My name is Kenan Beker. I am a designer, trained in architectural design. I am deeply influenced by nature and inspired by what we can learn from it. If I were to describe my work, I would say that my designs are rooted in Modernist philosophy but I am always looking to find new ways to incorporate biomimicry into architecture.

With a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Cruz, a passion for biomimicry and a master's in architectural design from the School of Architecture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I have my own vision of what architecture is and should be. I try to express this through my work to the best of my ability. Architecture is design that has an immediate impact on its surroundings and on those who inhabit it or interact with it. Designing an environment for people that does not alienate nature or disrupt the natural order, is the type of architecture I aspire to create.

By relying on the skills and ideas I have developed over the years, I hope to bring a fresh outlook to new projects and teams as I pursue my dream of becoming a licensed architect, striving to create designs that are better suited for living in this world.
